The Swedish Championships in Borås marked my first competition representing Spårvägen and wearing the club’s swim cap. It was great fun getting to know my new teammates, and even more exciting to compete in the mixed relay, where we came away with both a silver medal and a bronze medal.

100 butterfly – brons

The journey toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games continues in Gothenburg with the new training group, Growth Objective. A new training setup with an even stronger focus on sprint events, combined with a new environment, brings fresh motivation and inspiration for the road ahead.

The European Long Course Championships will take place in Paris this August and are the main goal of the long course season. Looking forward to competing against Europe’s best and giving it my all.

After representing Falu Simsällskap for 11 years, Sara is now taking the next step and switching to Spårvägen instead.

From January to March, Sara will be in Australia to train with three different teams—Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, and Melbourne—and to gain new input ahead of the upcoming seasons.

At the Swedish Championships in Norrköping, a new personal record was set in the 50m butterfly. A great race to include in the campaign toward the World Championships in Singapore!

The 100m freestyle in the final leg of the 4×100 medley at the Short Course World Championships in Budapest, December 2024, was powerful. The time of 51.35 provides motivation for the upcoming season.

Falu swimming club had a courtship after the Olympics in Paris. There was a large turnout with both young and old, which was honourable. It’s fun to meet those who are active in the Falu swimming club and be able to give back by taking part in training and being able to answer questions that the younger ones have.

EC bronze in the 100 butterfly, but not Olympic qualification

In the 100 butterfly at the European Championships, there was another medal, a bronze and a new personal best, but unfortunately there are 14/100ths missing from the Olympic qualifying time. The dream of an individual start in the Olympics lives on in 2028! New personal best is 58:06.
